Benjamin Hoyne

Benjamin joined Virginia Interfaith Power & Light in 2023 with a  focus on climate and equity policy. He has over ten years of experience working on state-level public policy. Benjamin led policy efforts at the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy from 2018 to 2021, where he helped achieve some critically important legislative victories. He is thrilled to once again be working with the interfaith community across the Commonwealth, with a focus on environmental justice.

Benjamin holds a Master of Business Administration, an M.A. in Global Environmental Policy, and a B.A. in Latin American Studies & Spanish. He is comfortable working in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. 

Benjamin is based in Richmond, Virginia, and enjoys spending his free time exploring the East Coast with his family, paddling on rivers, playing samba, and singing in the choir.
