Desiree is an ordained minister and Christian educator of our Lord’s Gospel. Graduating with honors in three distinct disciplines, she holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Master of Divinity from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from Virginia State University in Ettrick, VA.
Committed to being a lifetime learner, Desiree is affiliated with several organizations that share her passion for engineering, creation care, and church ministry, such as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Baptist Ministers Conference of Richmond & Vicinity (BMCRV), and The Church Network (TCN), an organization for Church Business Administrators. Desiree has served the faith community in various capacities, including Church Business Administration, Instructor of Technology and the Church-Virginia Union University’s annual Leadership Institute, Student Pastor, Graphic Designer, and Engineering Consulting. Every opportunity to serve has contributed to shaping her theology as it pertains to Creation and the role each of us must adopt in order to inspire and create change in our communities.
With her theological perspective, engineering, and creative abilities in tow, Desiree brings to this work her expertise in Christian education, operations management, process and project management, strategic planning, graphic design, employee development, leadership, and an enduring love for the Creator and Creation.
In her spare time, Desiree enjoys gaming, graphic design, and watching movies.
